Curriculum - Key Stage 1
Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2)
There are two classes in Key Stage 1. Both classes build on the experiences that the children have had in the previous class.
The children are introduced to a more formal curriculum, whilst enjoying learning opportunities offered through a stimulating play based curriculum.
Both classes have a teaching assistant who work alongside the class teacher offering the children more opportunities for adult led learning. The children's development is assessed regularly and the curriculum is planned to meet their individual needs.
Key Stage 1 children have their own play area in the school grounds. There is an adventure trail with safety surfacing which children access in their breaks.
